Success Stories
Yrmaris' Story
Yrmaris lost her job in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to a prolonged period of unemployment and eventual housing insecurity. As a result, she was forced to move in with her sister. Over time she noticed the changes creating emotional distress within her family.
Housing insecurity, crowded living, lack of routine, and other tensions, often lead to feelings of instability and fear. Yrmaris recognized the need for help and reached out to Project HOPE Boston.
With the help of Project HOPE's Housing Services team, Yrmaris was able to access available funding to cover her back rent and utilities. This support enabled her to get her family back on their feet.
