International Mural Artist Brings Hope to Shelter Families

Joshua Winer, renowned mural artist of Waltham Mills Mosaics Studio, created a custom mosaic titled Soulstice. Representing the path out of poverty for our families in shelter, the mosaic inspires hope. View pictures of the mosaic and the artists who worked with Joshua to create it.

Laboring to Learn

Lorna Rivera’s recent book Laboring to Learn: Women's Literacy and Poverty in the Post-Welfare Era has received the Cyril O. Houle Award for Outstanding Literature in Adult Education. The award is made annually by the American Association for Adult and Continuing Education for a book that reflects the universal concerns of adult educators. Secretary of the Treasury Tim Geithner visits Project Hope

Sr. Margaret to receive Honorary Doctorate from Tufts University

Sr. Margaret will receive an honorary doctor of public service degree at the Tufts University Graduation Ceremony in May. She will be among 6 other distinguished leaders including Governor Deval Patrick who will be giving the Commencement Address. You can also view her profile on the Tufts University website.

 

UMASS to Present Sr. Margaret with Honorary Degree

Senator John Kerry will speak at the University of Massachusetts commencement ceremony where Sr. Margaret will be presented with the degree of doctor of humane letters. Community Building Earns Silver Status under Green Building Guidelines

Project Hope's Community Building is now officially the first certified "green" building in Roxbury. Project Hope received Silver status for showing Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design from the US Green Building Council.
