Kathy Capachione-Lloyd

We are excited to welcome Kathy to Team Project Hope as a first-year runner! One of 8 children, Kathy grew up in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts. After briefly living in Florida, she returned to Massachusetts and settled in Buzzards Bay. She has worked in education for 20 years and is currently Assistant Registrar, Curriculum at Bridgewater State University. Kathleen began running 15 years ago. Her first race was the Philadelphia Half Marathon, and while she was never a runner before, there was something spectacular about running through the streets of Philadelphia, and up the Rocky steps – she was hooked! In addition to running, Kathleen enjoys reading, dancing, the beach and all things outdoors. But her all-time favorite activity is playing board games and having dinner and conversation with her family. Kathy is running alongside her niece, Dayna, for Project Hope Boston because of her lived-experience as a single mother and the challenges she encountered. She values the work Project Hope Boston does to support and empower women and families on their journeys forward.

“HOPE! It’s so important to believe in yourself and that there is hope for betterment. Utilize the support of Project Hope Boston and never give up on your dreams!”

Welcome to the team, Kathy! Good luck! You can support Kathy’s fundraising here.
